Ayurveda (pronounced ah-yer-vey-duhhas been practiced in India for over 6,000 years and it is the mother of all modern holistic practices. It is distinct from Western medicine in its focus on prevention of disease. In addition, practicing Ayurveda will pluck out the root of illness rather than simply treating its symptoms.

So what does that mean anyway?
Well, have you ever felt super strong, vibrant, energized and fully awake after a meal or exercise or an activity that you loved? You probably put your body into a state of peak performance or balance by honoring your inner most desires: physically, mentally and emotionally. There is a science behind feeling well.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is the feeling of lethargy, depression, burdened, and weak. This is your body out of balance…not in tune with it’s true nature.

Ayurveda principles can give you a recipe for balancing your hormones, energy levels, and emotions at any given time of the day and in any season.

Sound complex? Well, yes and no…take it one step at a time. Find out what your dosha is (or what that means: basically your constitution) and then develop a sense of intuitiveness in reading signals of the body when it needs something. It’s all about stopping, looking inward, and listening. Your body is telling you what it needs all the time…sometimes we have to fine tune our sense of listening.

Each of us has a unique genetic make up that requires a unique diet and exercise program…

It’s like the old poem by Mother Goose:

Pease porridge hot,

Pease porridge cold,

Pease porridge in the pot

Nine days old.

Some like it hot, some like it cold,
Some like it in the pot, nine days old.

Do you like it hot, cold or nine days old? I’ll tell you what… find out at the FREE Introductory class.
